HAMPSHIRE POOL GARDEN

The garden design of this Hampshire country garden has undergone a remarkable transformation, from before empty spaces to now a large paved terrace, a sunken fire pit area, a lawn area, a swimming pool with a pool house and outdoor shower and a barbeque area to the side. The terrace includes a pergola and a dining area that blends seamlessly with the soft planting. This area is ideal for entertaining guests and there is enough space to add a lounge area for relaxation and to soak up the garden’s stunning views.   The terrace boasts two sets of steps: the main steps lead down to the lush lawn area, which is framed by spectacular planting and a gravel path that is practical and adds a touch of texture, while the side steps lead to the pool area. Adjacent to the terrace lies the sunken fireplace area, a cosy retreat that offers a mesmerizing view of the swimming pool with its sun loungers and pool house. This area has a polished concrete finish with decorative tiles, and a gas fireplace adds to the ambiance, making it the perfect spot for unwinding at sunset. The large lawn area is surrounded by beautiful herbaceous planting and structural Taxus hedges, Carpinus cube trees, and Espalier trees. It is an ideal spot for children to play as it also includes a sunken trampoline, and the high Yew hedge at the end of the lawn conceals the steps behind, eagerly awaiting a magnificent sculpture to serve as a focal point. A built-in bar area on the side of the house offers wonderful views of the fields, and it comes complete with a free-standing barbecue that's perfect for guests entertaining the chef while cooking.  The added three-dimension in the garden created with the pergola, hedging, and trees creates a sense of intimacy and privacy. Views from the house are important and have been incorporated into the design, making this country garden a true paradise.  The long driveway leading up to the house is flanked by beautiful Malus ‘Everest’ trees on both sides, creating a stunning avenue that looks even more magical when softly lit at night. An orchard has been planned next to the avenue but has yet to be created.
